Sundaraakaanda which is being telecast in Gemini TV from Nov 30th 2009, has , within a short span of time caught the attention of the audience and is currently a leading serial clocking high TRPs. It has gained popularity not only among the viewers of Andhra Pradesh, but worldwide. Numerous appreciative mails received from various people across the world to the feedback mail id of Sundaraakaanda is a proof for the same.
Sundaraakaanda has many firsts to its credit. This is the first South Indian Television serial to be shot in US. Extensive filming has been done in New York and New Jersey. The crew travelled for a total of 20 days and worked day and night to complete the necessary shooting of the episodes. Beautiful locations like Brooklyn Bridge, Broadway Street, Supreme Court, Liberty Park, Central Park New York, various locations at New Jersey have been filmed beautifully by Cinematographer Chellapandian.
Simran, the heart throb of south Indian film industry, has done a guest appearance in the serial. This is the first time Simran is appearing in a straight Telugu serial. In fact, when the story was narrated to her, she immediately agreed to do the role, since she gives a beautiful and effective message in the story.
